The percentage of Approved Tomatometer Critics who have given this movie a positive review. Is the irresistible music enough to make up for the uneven plot and heavy innuendo? Lots of overlong, tearful group hugs after the final a cappella song make that clear.
If they could do this well, then I say sure go for it, but. In a third-time's-the-daffy-charm sequel, the Bellas reunite for one last tour, and the a cappella girl-group franchise goes out on a winning note. A side plot reuniting Fat Amy with her degenerate father (John Lithgow) nearly takes over the movie when Amy's father kidnaps the Bellas.
What follows is the film's funniest scene, as the suddenly spry Amy. A few years after their graduation, the Barden Bellas find themselves unsatisfied with their careers, or lack of careers. Second time around, the premise of competitive a capella already seemed to have exhausted its possibilities. How many more "riff-offs" did we need to see? How many more big competitions were left to enter? The filmmakers tried to balance the line between giving fans what they expect to see and giving them something fresh.

Rather than incorporate fresh elements to the competition storyline, the filmmakers decided separate the two. As such, it initially struggles to find ways to keep them together before sending them all on a multi-country USO tour. Although they've gone in different directions since the last installment, the Bellas — Beca (Anna Kendrick), Amy (Rebel Wilson) Chloe.
This third installment begins with a manic performance by the Bellas of the old Britney Spears hit "Toxic" while on board a ship. Pitch Perfect movie reviews & Metacritic score: Beca is that girl who'd rather listen to what's coming out of her headphones than what's coming out of you. Overall, I thought Pitch Perfect was a fantastic movie! It definitely has a cheesy plot line, but highly entertaining.
