Firstly: straight-faced action hero material has never been Cage's forte. Nicolas Cage's third release in less than three months is a fairly low-key but effective dystopian-future tale. Though not so long ago nearly every Nicolas Cage movie was a big-budget, wide-release affair, these days his movies are mostly so low-profile you might be.
